high protein, two ingredients mousse
When I was little, I grew up eating tofu desserts. It would be served warm with ginger syrup. It used to be one of my favourite desserts because of its silky texture and mild flavour.
Recently, I watched an Instagram reel on the new trend of high protein mousse. My husband is a mousse addict and it is probably number one on his dessert list. So, when I found this recipe, I just had to try it. It's super simple and requires zero skill.
The flavour is basically the chocolate and whatever other additions you choose. I added a little bit of maple syrup and cinnamon on top. I also like to add peanut butter for extra protein and I like the combo.
So anyway, here's the recipe.
Ingredients:
1 block of dark chocolate (I used Lindt 70% dark)
1 block of silken tofu
Method:
1. Melt chocolate in the microwave (around 1 min)
2. Drain tofu and put inside a good blender with your melted chocolate. Blend until all mixed through
3. Divide into ramekins and chill for at least 1 hour before serving
Enjoy!
